A couple of questions for you.

Q1. Are you opposed to a gay couple & a lesbian couple conceiving a child and sharing custody between them? 2 dads and 2 mum's cant be a bad thing can it?

Q2. Since you are so opposed to gay adoption are you willing to open your hearts and homes to one of the many needy children who would dearly love somebody to love them?

Thanks for your time

I would have to say I am proudly GAY!

1. I think it is the best idea if the two parties wants to do so, and I don't think that this would be any problems at all.

2. Of course I would adopt a child, its just that many orphanage are not allowing me to do so.

You know what breaks my heart? When I hear that some adoptive children are being abused or malnourished by their adoptive parents, and to think that these are straight couples that did it. The news was on every channel on television in April that the police found a couple of children was put in a cage by the couple that adopted them. Some were even molested.
The idea of children getting molested just makes me cry, they are our future, the ones that could take care of us when we are old and withered, and yet some straight people won't let us adopt them for the simple fact that we are gay. Instead of looking that we are capable of giving them the love they deserve and need, being able to provide and support for them.
As a officer of the law, I've seen cases where they even killed the children because they children won't quiet down. What kind of sick people are they being let adopted by? Why would any one let children be adopted by monsters like them? Why?

1. I think that there's nothing wrong with gay adoption except for how it could affect what other kids think about the adopted one. They might laugh and not want to go over to the house of "that kid with the gay parents." It could be a little akward. And I wonder if a child raised by two same-sex parents will also turn out to be gay. Not saying they can't do it because I just hate gay people.

2. However, no, I probably wouldn't adopt a kid if I could have my own. But how would I really know; I'm only 14.

EDIT: I came back because I changed my mind; being any kind of "weirdo" in school is better than having no home. Also, there could be some nice kids who will be friends with them, whether the parents are gay or not.

Simple predjudice. A had two friends, one is agnostic communist, the other is educated psudo-jewish, both come for Semite Psudo-Jewish famlies. They couldn't make a baby and had problems adopting and I asked about them taking on a black or Chinese baby and YOU should have HEARD the SEGUE from these LIBERAL, BERKELY UNiversity, pot smoking, free sex on the pool table give me a lecture on CULTURAL SHOCK. The tone was BLACK BABIES are for BLACK PEOPLE Boy what a WAKE UP CALL from LIBERAL THINKING BERKELY UNIVERSITY, DEAD CONCERTS ON THE GREEN, JEWISH BOYS and GIRLS! Both had a BA Degree My eyes went wide. Yeah, I'd probably be in MORE cultural shock than my BLACK adopted son or daughter who embraced the black culture I am not used to being white bread. But one must admit there would be a factor when you tell a black adopted son or daughter that you, a cracker, decided to adop them and make them family. Homosexuals would face the same cultural shock and the suprising thing about them is their liberalizm. One day little Johnny or Susie would ask, why are Jim and Judy's parents male and female and you two are both (MALE or FEMALE) and the homosexuals would have to expalin it to them. And explain that they CHOSE to take the child and make a family. They'd ALSO have to expalin the VIEWS the rest of the world has on them. The child can easily live with this, it's the rEST OF THE WORLD that can't This subject was tackled EXCELLENTLY by Tracey Ullman and her writer-producer James Brooks when they created the little braces 14 year old girl who lives with her father and his male spouse I especially liked the one where she went to work at Taco Taco and the hispanic manager talked about Mericons when he saw the two men and she said I don't speak Spanish, but you better have just said those are the two nicest people I've ever seen! Just before she quit and leaves with her family. It's all about love and family Hetro men who sexaully abuse their daughters and step daughters happern far more than homsexuals who adopt. Far more. Homosexuals often have a very high code of ethics. They just have a very strange way of living, at least from the hetero perspetive. That doesn't make it wrong, just different.

Hi, these are some good points. I am not opposed to adoption of children by gay and lesbian couples. I will also like to add that being gay does not reflect on any person's parenting skills. Parenting is an aptitude, and depends upon person to person.

1) Who can stop a lesbian from getting pregnant? If she wants to give her child away, that's her decision.

2) Since many straight couples go to China, Russia, and Romania to adopt, where are these "many needy children" you talk about? Most children in the USA are taken in by family and do not enter into the adoption system.

I would adopt, I have conceived, trying to conceive again.

I'm a great mom, if I may say so myself...and being lesbian, and having an open minded, only adds to my parenting.

Bigots only post nasty things, they never respond when you ask them to explain their reasoning. They can't. I'm gay, and I've asked questions to all of the anti-gay people on Y!A, and all my responses were from gay guys and gay-activist straights.
