Some people are very talented at lashing out at and hurting people they are jealous of. They may try to hurt you directly or indirectly (by slandering you to other people). If you find yourself the victim of an emotional attack, try to remember the source and rise above it. Physical is another matter and depending on the situation (work, school), it should be reported to the proper authorities.

I guess there are two reasons for jealousy...1 would be if you are acting like there is something to be jealous of...if it's a benign form of jealousy, like dude I wish I had your car, or your clothes...blah blah blah OR

2. If its based on misconceptions like that girl/guy thinks they are so much better than I am, I'll show them!

both can be handled with care, and just by getting to know people. People grow up in all sorts of environments and with their own false beliefs given to them from people around them, that they may begin to feel jealous of others who seem to have "it" better than they do.

By getting to know them and what they're going through (and them knowing what you go through) and being generous with your friendship, you might be able to thwart the attacks. (emotional and physical)...

I went through this growing up and found out things about my bullies later in life, like how they were abused by their parents. I know if I had cared and tried to get to know them, we might have had better relationships.

Conceal your deeds and accomplishments from them as much as possible and do NOT keep company with them or respond to their challenges, jibes and/or insults. Direct the proper legal authorities to handle them if they pose any physical threats to you and save any evidence they may provide as proof of harassment.

To protect yourself from those kind of destructive people, be an underground dog. Be humble and don’t be loud.

If they already attack you emotionally or physically, then ask him/her: "why are you doing this?", then if they answer you rudely then ask him/her: "Are you jealous at me?", then they'll shut their mouth and think... When the time that he/she is thinking then do whatever you wanna say so they can shut their mouth
