my gf got on birth control a year ago. 3 months ago she never got her period, during the 2nd month she did get her period and now this month she didn't get it again. She's taken 3 home tests and they were all negative. Has this ever happened to anyone? She doesn't have any symptoms.

Ozwald,

Being that she got a period the 2nd month, I would say she's not pregnant. There are times that periods DO skip. Depending on the birth control she's on, it could affect her that way.

Is there more to the story?;
1. Has she changed birth controls pills/methods?
2. Has she skipped a dose of birth control?
3. Is she more stressed?

A million things can factor into why she's skipping periods. If you guys really think something is wrong, then contact your OB/primary care physician.

Good Luck :-)

Taking birth control pills can make your cycle roller coaster. She should get to a doctor as soon as possible. Taking the pill while pregnant is not good for the baby, and after a certain amount of time abortion will no longer be an option. Tell her to go to the doctors and get an ultrasound just to be on the safe side. They may also change her birth control prescription. Sounds like this one is not working well with her body.

If the pregnancy test said negative, then she's not pregnant. Sometimes women miss their periods from stress or diet or too much exercise.

A blood test is more accurate. Sure it is possible to be pregnant, but only a blood test will tell for sure.

shes probably not pregnant. It takes time for birth control to regulate your system.It is very normal to skip periods. I wouldnt worry, unless she continues to skip them.
