You sound to me like a true Conservative.

I imagine that like me, you currently cannot find a presidential candidate to embrace.

Owning guns is R
Less taxes and less government is R (major component)
Abortion position is liberal, but there are many Republicans who agree with that. This does not disqualify you as a R.
On Iraq, once again there are some R who agree, but not many
Capitalism is a R thing. D believe in socialism
Global Warming means you need to listen to the other side and then decide. You have proven you can think
I am angry at Bush because he is not a conservative. Lots of R are in your corner.
No sane Republican does trust government

I would say you are definitely aligned with Republican basic ideology, not the recent cast of fools.

The main reason is because you believe in limited government and low taxes. These are 2 of the main principles. Democrats do not believe this. They believe in government run this and that and raising taxes to pay for it.

I suggest going and meeting your local Republican town committee, you will feel at home.

Liberal

"I live in FL, and I own lots of guns...love to shoot and hunt."
There are no Democrats that have anything against having guns for hunting. We question whether an AK-47 is necessary.

"I support less taxes, and less government." Since government has been expanded more with Republicans since Reagan, Democrat again. This war has to paid for somehow and is nearing the 1/2 trillion mark. State taxes and fees are up even though federal taxes are down(although mostly for the top 5% that didn't need a tax break)

"I think abortion should be legal always, except partial birth because that's just sick." Republicans want all abortion illegal, even birth control. Abstinence only programs are now in 40% of our public schools.

"I'm against the Iraq war.
I support the Afghanistan war."
Well, the Republicans are the ones that refuse to consider ending the Iraq War.

"I like capitalism, I think it works well." All the Democratic candidates are Capitalist, that is how they got rich. Only the wealthy can afford to run. Al Gore, Hillary Clinton, John Edwards are often "accused"for being capitalists and in the next breath, socialist. Trust me, they are capitalists.

"I go to church....sometimes when my wife makes me." Democrat again. You want a choice of religion and don't want it dictated to you by the government.

I believe in global warming, and that mankind is the primary cause. Democrats are always better stewards of the environment that Republicans. Yes, Bush has a "green" ranch but thinks it's ok for the rest of us to have a bit of cyandide in our drinking water. And he gave the wealthy the tax credit for the large SUVs.

"I hate Bush with a passion." Republicans continue to back Bush-with the exception of a couple.

"I don't trust the federal government." Nobody with any intelligence should blindly trust the government, whether your party is in power or not. Watch them like a hawk, but we should demand they not keep secrets. Government should be open, unlike this one.

If somebody needs to label themselves as liberal or conservative they'd. it is in basic terms incorrect while yet another person labels somebody else and tell them what they think of. There are such issues as conservatives and liberals. usa is separated...taking the words liberal and conservative off of human beings won't exchange they way that they experience approximately particular subject concerns. regrettably this u . s . a . is tremendously plenty chop up down the middle top now.

You're a good Republican. Beliefs in privacy, honest scientific assessment, support of capitalism, and a justified foreign policy places you with such great men as Teddy Roosevelt, Eisenhower, and others. Unfortunately, the current Republican party has abandoned many of these ideals including violations of privacy, limitations on global free trade, extensions of the federal government, unjustifiable foreign policy, and ignoring expertise.

You probably would be ostracized in either party: that's the price of honest thinking. However, if I were to label you, you are a conservative (and a good one at that!). The problem is that good conservatives no longer have a party that supports them: invent one of your own or vote independent.

Even though thinkers like you are an endangered species, you make the country a better place.

Your a conservative with one foot on the other side of the fence. Just because you don't like Bush doesn't mean that your liberal, all it means is that you don't like Bush. The big item that makes you a conservative , even if just a moderate, is the less taxes and government bit.

You are an independent, a person who can think for himself without following the dogma of both Republican and Democratic majority.

From what I see, looks like you just need a little more information on the subjects you have listed here. Don't fall into the liberal well of media propaganda and you should be fine.

Your conservative, or close to it.

Other than the first two on your list, your a liberal, and probably would like the democrats. Less government and lower taxes is a conservative stand, but you still lean toward liberal. Maybe your a liberal republican.
