Good question - not sure it's entirely possible unless everyone on the planet gets involved... For example, for as long as I can remember, people have been sending money to Africa and other regions of the world, and still people there are starving... and starving in the US as well, one of the richest nations in the world.

Free trade and the law of comparative advantage.
If we started allowing countries to produce goods that they can make cheaply and then sell them whereever without ridiculous barriers like tarrifs that would go a long way towards helping them out. If the free world was really free and people were given the ability to make a reasonable profit without government interference then they would. This would solve illegal immigration and a good portion of poverty. Unfortunately there will always be government corruption and therefore poverty.

By leaving politics alone and out of this and giving/sharing with others some of what you have, if everyone did this, their would be no poverty and the politics could not dictate to us what we should do, we would know what to do without them interfering...what profit a man to gain the whole world and loose his soul?, give and it shall be given, good measure pressed down and over flowing.....

Rich countries need to help poor countries make certain practical investments that are often really very basic. Once you get your head around development issues and realize how solvable many of them are, there are tremendous things that can be done. But for decades we just haven't tried to do many of these basic things. For instance, one issue that has been tragically neglected for decades now is malaria. That's a disease that kills up to 3 million people every year. It's a disease that could be controlled quite dramatically and easily if we just put in the effort. It's truly hard for me to understand why we aren't.

first of all sop people in third world countrys breeding if they have already got ten kids that they can,t afford another one isn,t going to help, next stop the freeloaders get all the lazy bastards that won,t work back to work i don,t know about you but i don,t owe anyone exept perhaps for my imediate family a living and if these people still won,t work we stop their benifits(welfare payments) slowly we build a strong economy if this happens world wide and we start trading with each other again there is no real reason for poverty exept perhaps for a famine somewhere but **** happens if we all work together and i mean all work it can happen

the first answer that comes to mind is education not just schooling but showing people the different programs that are out there to help them succeed in life at the various age groups.
we could also becaome a society that takes the able body homeless and teaches them a skill such as farming. there is enough land in the US alone that we could solve our own hunger problemby having these people that dont have anything else work to help society. With the price of gas it would also help if they were planting corn to help lower the price of that to make ethanol.

you cant... there will always be someone who has nothing. because if we all are equal than no one is unique. we have to have poverty so those who aren't poor can see what it's like and be thankfull they aren't like that. besides the only way to do it would be to initiate some sort of tax proposition in which all the money goes right to the poor. But i assure you many people wouldnt like that too much...

World Peace (smile, wave, smile)
Respect for and development of human life require peace. Peace is not merely the absence of war, and it is not limited to maintaining a balance of powers between adversaries. Peace cannot be attained on earth without safeguarding the goods of persons, free communication among men, respect for the dignity of persons and peoples, and the assiduous practice of fraternity. Peace is "the tranquillity of order." Peace is the work of justice and the effect of charity.

We can't because people are selfish by nature the more we have the more we want to keep for ourselves. It's sad but it's a fact. You rarely bump into an unselfish person these days.
