Some do. It depends on which politician you are talking about and which recording artist, but I imagine you could find a artist's marking campaign to match each and every politician's campaigning style.

There are similarities. Both are after money and popularity. Both want exposure on television, in papers and magazines, on the radio and also on the internet.

But when you look in more detail at the times, channels and types of papers they are in, then there are differences. A shame really, as I think that one way to encourage more people to vote is to target the same areas that a recording artist would use to 'campaign.'
