no, we expect justice from laws and courts hence the reason we have them.

I desire Justice ... but our (USA) court system is messed up almost beyond repair.

There is no logic or flow in the laws. Examine "Alcohol" to see the confusion in our current laws. The laws say that if I sign a contract (Will's & Testatments, Real-Estate contracts, etc), or take an oath in court then I cannot be drunk otherwise my contract is void, and so is my testimony. This is based off the fact that I'm "Incompetent." Now this incompetent law takes a 180 degree turn in the case of drinking and driving. The law says that you are competent and guilty of "Vehicular homicide / homicidal intent" when a person gets behind the wheel impaired. So why is it justice to say alcohol make you incompetent and competent at the same time? That's anti-justice.

Then there's the governement's "C.Y.A." policy when it comes to child molestation. If a government employee (Senitor, Congressman, Policeman, Teacher, Coach) commits a sexual act on a child then the government has decided they are "Copable" for up to $50,000.00 per child IF (and only if) the child is brave enough to report such abuse withing 180 days (1/2 year). Then the govt. says ... well, if it's not a public employee then the sky's the limit on monitary damages, and throw away the statue of limitations. So, why the different standards between public and privtate? Is not child molestation as devistating to any child. Why should a child molested by a Senitor (who's appointed himself to head of an apporpriations commitee for ending internet child molestation) deserve less money than a child who's molested by a priest? That's not justice .. it's anit-justice. (Not to mention, none of these criminals get put away for any significant time)

It depends on what you mean by that. The question is slightly vague. Are you talking vigilante-ism or do you mean the courts? The courts are what they are. They are not perfect, but they do have a purpose. People that I know that are interested in social justice are people that will go around and create a movement to right the wrongs of our society in our own nation. My father was a social justice advocate and peacefully protested the SOA (School of America) and served time in federal prison. The SOA trains other countries military forces (including Manuel Noriega)) here in the US (Georgia) and ship them back to their own countries. Then the military that we trained went back to San Salvador and by our own techniques slaughtered 8 priests and their housemaids for no apparent reason. He created a movement with a few other Jesuits to try to shut down this " military base". Starting with 8 people they have now built their numbers up to 12,000 and growing that return every year. I was proud of what my father did(he died). SO...to answer your question, and not to be rude, a lot of people expect a lot of things from our society. It just seems like not a lot of people are willing to put in the effort.

Sorry about the blah blah blah, but as you can see, I'm passionate about this. If you want to check out info(maybe learn something new) , 2 different inks are below. If you are interested in social justice (maybe not about this one), you should contact these people and they can point you in the right direction or answer your questions.

Tell you what i expect farooq,

YOU not to post every learning outcome of your assignement on here for an answer.

THAT would be socially just, you would then be authentic and not coast into a decent position (obviously in a socially active profession where people rely on you) without the ability to think for yourself.

Cheers.
