Really? I usually notice the opposite, they stop and then they don't start again until there isn't another car on the road! Real pain in the a** if you're the one behind them.

they have perfected what they started as a young person. you can't teach an old dog a new trick, and since when do young people not think street signs only pertain to others? I use to be a driving instructor, maybe 1 in 30 obey road signs as they should. Did you know the Speed limit sign is just that, the speed limit! not the suggested base speed or cruising speed, it is the Max, uner ideal good weather duringthe day, yet 80% of people get angry if everyone is not treating it as a minimum speed limit. as for stop signs, all are to coe to a full, and complete stop, defer to drivers on your right, and proceed slowly, yes slowly through the intersection, it's not a starting gate. old people learned there tactics as you did, but like all of us, they make there own rules after a time, you will do the same, if not already. be safe, drive defensivly, and let others go first.

Because they think that respect for your elders applies to driveing as well. I can see it now. A 70 year old man hollers at a 16 year old "Boy I am your elder you best have respect for that, Ima hit your car just coz you werent respectful an let me cross the intersection first." "The cop is handing the man a ticket. He says "I am sorry sir, I know your my elder." But I have to give you this ticket." "Be sure an get some insurance on your car before you see the judge." The judge says "I am sorry sir I know your my elder but only by 6 months dude!"

? Maybe they don't even see the sign? Also, THEY'RE OLD! You reach a point in life, OLD AGE, that you shouldn't be on the road!!! I hope that a younger generation could drive them around :P. A guess it's a GOOD THING? Due to xrazy drivers out there. As long as insurance is reasonable/ affordable, I drive.

Because they were on this earth first, dammit, and you youngins better get the HELL out of the way! I swear, that's what they think. I work in a nursing home, and you should see them in the hallways with their wheel chairs. They will run you right over if you're standing there. I can't even tell you how many times they've run over my toes and heels because I didn't move out of their way fast enough. And after they've busted my toes, they have the nerve to call ME a bastard for being in their way, haha.

Don't you know! Its not about you! ITS ALL ABOUT THEM, THEY'RE ABOVE THE LAW AND COMMON COURTESY AND JUST PLAIN TOO BUSY TO WORRY WITH TRAFFIC SAFETY!!!!!!
It must be nice to rely on the general public w/out a care in the world while behind the wheel of a vehicle.
Another case, where I wish the "bump and run" maneuver was legal out on the streets.

It's not just old people...as one who has driven for a living I can tell you...the ones to watch out for are those who drive mini-vans.

It's worse in the town I live in. Everyone wants to be nice and let everyone else go but no one does and then everyone goes all at once. It's a clusterf**k!
