you're patently doing great water ameliorations and taking recommendations-blowing care of your fish for it to have lived for 4 years in a bowl. solid for you! That pronounced, although, bowls are, easily, the harshest factor a guy or woman can do to a fish. yet, this isn't your fault. those human beings at those puppy shops do no longer understand what they are speaking approximately whilst they enable you to recognize your fish will do wonderful in a bowl. you're very fortunate to have had your fish stay this long, although that's turning out to be and could proceed to advance and sometime, possibly very quickly, there will be no longer something you're able to do to maintain the water high quality in verify on your fish and it won't stay that lots longer. A wholesome goldfish, with perfect care and atmosphere can somewhat stay for 2 an prolonged time. in the experience that your fish is between the little fat fancy ones, i could advise thinking getting a 10 gallon tank and no rely if that's between the long skinny ones, get a 20 gallon tank very quickly on your expensive puppy to make certain that it lives, no longer in straightforward terms for yet another 4 years, yet that it lives for yet another 4x4 years. Take care!

Four years is still a very young fish. It should live at LEAST 10-20 years if not more. Anyone here who is shocked at four years must put them in a bad condition or just mindlessly kill them and not bother to question why they aren't living to their full extent. I hope you have a 20 gallon, that way he can live a long time and get big and beautiful!

So do I! And it's malformed too... it's back is bent, it's missing 1/2 a tail fin, and compleatly missing one of the bottom fins.
I've also had a 7, yes, 7 year old hamster.
