Did he also take his personal jet down there?
And keep the air conditioning running at his various mansions in Tennessee?

Is Chilean sea bass an endangered species? No. But large, unreported catches from illegal fishing of this valuable fish has made effective management difficult. In 2000, more than 16,000 tons of Chilean sea bass were legally harvested in the Antarctic management area. Estimates vary, but there may be up to twice that amount taken illegally. Some Chilean sea bass fisheries are managed in a responsible manner, but there are some areas where the species has been and continues to be overfished.

Gore is a hypocrite. He tells people how much he cares for the environment and we need to save it. Then he lives in a huge house, flies a private jet to his little lectures. He probably wastes more resources in a month than I do in years.
Global warming is nothing more than the Earths natural cycles. Its been proven that Mars is warming up just as much as Earth over the last 100 years. We surely didn't pollute that.
I do agree that we should be cleaning up the environment and saving resources since they will run out someday. At least in the US it is much cleaner today than it was 25 years ago. We are doing our part to make the world a better place. I don't agree with the CAFE laws and those people increasing them to some outrageous amount that will add $1,000's to the price of a car to make it work. Let people buy what they want. If gas costs $6/gal and they can still afford a truck that gets 10 mpg then go for it.
Oil companies are evil lives under a rock. So he uses renewable energy. Like hydropower, wind power, or solar power? Those are great. They block rivers so fish cant spawn, prevent silt from going down the river ruining water quality, and flood valleys making them into lakes. Wind mills kill birds, make lots of noise and make almost no power until you put hundreds of them together wasting tons of land that would be better used for a forrest. Solar power is too expensive for the average person to use and also takes huge amounts of space to make any useful amount of power. Great call with those renewable powers. Thank god we have someone like that telling us what to do and people like you believing him. Face it nothing is free. You give something to get something.

Well, it is a fact that 78% of Chilean sea bass contribute 47% of ocean flatulence (bet you didn't know fish could fart)--which in turn generates 32% of the global warming methane byproducts. It is also the suspected to be the cause of the melting polar caps of mars!
Thus, AG was actually working to reduce the sea bass methane gas problem and reduce global warming. By my calculations he missed his mark by 3% because he didn't eat **enough** endangered sea bass. No worries. He can just buy $5000 of carbon credits from himself (and take the tax deductions) to offset his dificiency and we're all good! Roasted spotted owl is whats for supper tonight! Yuummy!

Chilean Sea Bass IS NOT an endangered species. There is some overfishing in certain regions, and, the local governments have set limitation on the catches. Professional fisherman can use techniques to catch their prey that upset the balance of wildlife in the ocean, such as exploding whales to find where sea bass are located, which can do incredible harm. But, feel assured the Sea Bass is not endangered.

I am a registered Democrat. I have been all of my voting life. And many times I have voted for Republicans.
I did not vote for Clinton, either time. I just don't have a feel for him as a great leader. I would have kicked his a$$ had that been my daughter under the desk. But then again, I would have raised my daughter so that she would never be under a desk. That and the whole whitewater thing speaks volumes to me of his and his wife's character. None of it good.
But in light of this current presidency, I'd have to say Clinton was a hell of of president. In retrospect, his policies did far more good than our current incumbent. I don't agree with his character, but I think he was good for the nation on the whole, relatively speaking.
Gore on the other hand, has always gotten a bad rap. I've heard him speak, and I've read a few interviews with him, and I read Time magazine's book excerpt of his latest, "The Assault on Reason". It seems to me he is not a very typical politician at all. I actually thing its wrong of him not to run, but I don't blame him with the state of the game (politics) as it is now. He is right when he says the country is in a mess because people don't seek out truth objectively any more. And in spite of his own reasonableness and unwillingness to play the political game in its current evolution, people just do not recognize he is undeserving of many of the attacks and criticisms aimed at him.
Any public figure is going to have barbs and jibes from time to time and I don't think that alone discourages him from running. But its the simple fact that most of us don't take time to listen at all to reasonable arguments, but lean towards those that are already to our liking and blast all the others. Having been stung so bad in 2004, and seeing what all the other Dem candidates are going through, maybe he is wise to seek out another way to serve our country other than as commander-in-chief.

If people listen for the truth from Al Gore then they are as incompetent as he is. I don't mind that Al Gore wants make people more aware of Global warming, but I would rather listen to people that can show me the hard facts before I will make a decision.

Gore might be a hypocrite because of the fish if he knew it was endangered but, at his house his energy provider uses 100% renewable energy.
Also, American Pride said most scientist say global warming is natural but, that is completly wrong. Only a few scientists think that. There is basically a scientific consensus that global warming is man-made.

I would rather listen to scientists about global warming rather than a politician who can only benefit from making global warming into a political issue. He is right in the fact that there is an extent of warming throughout the globe, but most world scientists, and not Washington-employed scientists, say global warming is a natural process that occurs every couple thousand years. It's a natural cycle that is impossible to stop.
