The answer is simple. Here is why rich and intelligent people vote Repub and poor and unintellignet people vote Demo.

Republicans are of the mind set that people should get things done for themselves, should work for the things they want and need, like health care and food.

Democrats are of the idea that if you can't or don't want to work hard, it's okay, it's not your fault you are lazy. The Democrats want to give you free healthcare and feed the homeless and give out other handouts and social programs at the working man's expense.

There ya go :)

Frankly, I think that education has little to do with it. Pride, hard work, the quest to succeed, is more of a Republican trait. We can handle failure and don't blame the world around us.

I know many Dems who are college educated, but most of them work for a government entity of sorts. They're 'safe' in that their jobs are basically assured and they can afford to be bleeding hearts who would love to enact programs 'for our own good'.

Additionally, the dumbing down of our schools hasn't helped. Let's face it. The average college education of today is probably equivalent to a high school education of the 60's. These people have been indoctrinated. :)

Think about it just a little and you will have your answer. Those who get educated work for that education so they can better themselves. That is a fundamental belief of republicans, work for what you want and need.

Those who don't get the education, didn't work for it and expect someone else to give it to them. That is a fundamental belief of democrats.

Remember this, you what you have in life is a result of the work you do to acquire those things. If you work hard, you have a lot. If you don't work, you don't have.

Political affiliation has nothing to do with monetary achievement, more than likely it was handed down from Mommy and Daddy,( both the money and the Party)which is a much worse scenario. There is no excuse for a lazy learning habit.....If the shoe fits, wear it, if not ...welcome to the world of realistic endeavor

That's an easy one...

Your "well-off" friends feel that they've worked hard and earned everything they have, therefore they don't want to share it with those who "don't deserve it".

Your friends with "tough lives" feel the need for more government entitlements and also feel that the rich should "share the wealth".

Greed and Selfishness...Don't you just love America?

Most people are conservative, in the US. Those looking for government to help them out vote Democrat. Those who figured out how to do it on their own, and like to keep some of their money, vote Republican.

Not sure.
I have a college education, am working on my second degree, and I would cut off a finger before I voted for a Republican- even for the library board.

When you've worked hard and made something of yourself, you want to keep it and not "redistribute" it to poor people. You are Republican.

If you're a loser and think the man keeps you down all the time, you are a Democrat and expect handouts.
