The first four are probably accurate, #5 is not.

In fact the majority of Americans FAVOR gun control. That Times Magazine poll you mentioned was a computer poll and was not scientific. If you look at the other questions, over 75% of the people that took the survey were gun owners when that figure is under 30% for all Americans.

Realistically, if 93% of the popluation was really against stricter gun control, it would never be an issue.

A Gallup poll shows that 56% of Americans favor stricter laws on gun control as of 2006, but the percentage was as high as 78% in 1990 and has steadily declined.

I totally agree on the Universal Health Care, as long as you got to pick what doctor you can go to, that would stop the doctors from charging more than they should to rip the insurance companies off. Gay Marriage shouldn't be allowed, if they want to live in a home together, fine give them the benefits of being a married couple, but don't allow them to get married. Abortion needs to have some limits on it, example: A women gets raped and then gets preg. they should be able to choice this choice, not these women that go sleep around and keep getting preg and use this as a way to get out of it. Late term abortion, I believe the polls make it illegal, they should of choice the process in the begin few weeks, and I don't think that Stricter gun control is going to help anything. If you take away gun control on people that have never done anything wrong, a person that wants to do something wrong will find a way...look at the black market you can purchase any gun you please, and no fee or waiting period done. Its not like we can control this market, it just keeps going, they bust one place, and the next place takes over!

What you may endure in techniques is that Adolf sounded an exceptionally upbeat common guy with many great techniques for his u . s . a . - thats why he became into so commonplace and have been given voted in. It became into in basic terms as quickly as the beast became into set unfastened of the cage that everyone realised in basic terms what a monster he became into. the rest, as they say, is historic previous. So the priority everyone has with the BNP - isn't that they only like to hate them yet that they understand that while they're unleashed on the country - the fanatical section governing racial subject concerns would be a cat they can't get decrease back interior the bag. they have some reliable techniques - all of the events do - even Screaming Lord Sutch had some reliable techniques god relax his soul. inspite of the incontrovertible fact that it is the ordinary ethos of the occasion and what they have faith in. look decrease back at historic previous and picture returned till now balloting. and that i do take the remark on board that none of our governments are brave sufficient to handle immigration. yet they are going to be because of the fact they're going to could be. The time will come as quickly as we can could undertake the comparable equipment as say the hot Zealanders. you may have a valid job to come returned to, sponsored up via letters from the organization - a undeniable quantity of money, a place to stay that may no longer paid for via the tax payer, and a means and any such great style of things - it is carried out via attaining particular objectives set via the government. What this has ensured for brand spanking new Zealand - additionally an island - is they have a sustainable inhabitants it is able to maintenance itself with out putting burden on the state coffers/taxpayer. sure, its going to take a brave government to do it - inspite of the incontrovertible fact that it is going to come. It wont be the BNP nevertheless. sensible internet site nevertheless..

Remember we do not live in government by poll for a reason. Pure democracy is a double edged sword because at least with representatives, some elements of passion are filtered out. There is nothing resembling public debate and deliberation in a pure democracy. I would support a pure democracy if everyone thought rationally all the time.

I disagree completely. First: I learned from President Truman that there "are lies, damned lies, and statistics." Poll numbers are misleading. You don't know what questions were asked, who asked them, who analyzed the date. The sources you cited are all known liberal main stream media.

Polls do not reflect how people would vote, if they were called upon to do so. Ask John Kerry. Ask Al Gore.

Democracy leads to chaos. What if everyone voted for universal health care on Monday then voted for private insurance on Tuesday. This is why we have a representative republic, to avoid the chaos caused by changing personal opinions.

That is the reason why we shouldn't run this country by shear polls.
The only one up there that bothers me is unverisal health care sounds great but how many are willing to pay for it and willing to put up with worse health care.

One more thing about polls it does depend on how you ask the question.

I know a person who has no idea that 11 states voted to BAN gay marriage via referendum in 2004.

Those laws passed with flying colors.

How smart is that person?

Why doesn't Pelosi and the Dems do anything about #5?

Because they think you're full of it.

There goes your credibility.

A site exists to gather the majority opinion on every issue, in every community, from local to international level. It's free, anonymous, carries no ads and doesn't sell anything.

Thank god universal health care isnt legal~ !!! Polls mean nothing to me anyway, that's the opinion of a few 100 people which they try to use to reflect the opinion of 250+ million people.
