I'm in my thirties, and until not too long ago, it seemed I was a teenager.

Now, the people of my generation are married and have children. (I'm not and I don't have children, though).

The people we admired in our youth for their talent or looks (or both), are now retired or are too old.
We no longer hear anything about them, and when we do we are disappointed.
(There are some noble exceptions, such as, Paul McCartney, John Travolta and Madonna, who seem to resist to time, though.)

We see a new generation flourishing (or even new generations flourishing), about which we can remember very well things from the time they were born.

What do you miss when you think of those old days?

(And while at this... When we were young, didn't it feel like we were going to remain as such forever?...)

I turn 19 next month, but I still miss being a child..a baby actually ^_^;; When I look at my baby photos, I sometimes just want to go back.. None of us really remember what happened when we were babies, so photos (or tapes) are the only way to relive our baby moments. I wish I had better memory when I was a baby, so I can actually feel and remember all the love I received again. Plus, I actually looked very cute. :]

Here's a neat quote though:

"I prefer the past to the present, but I believe in a better future." - Friedrich Nietzsche

so the only solution is to, Believe! in yourself. [;

I miss riding in cars that had no seat belts. I learned to drive in 1 o' those. I miss coffee from an electric percolator. I miss having to adjust the fine tuning dial on the t.v. I miss seeing cars styled with angles instead of curves. I miss the big block V8 engines in those same cars. I miss watching a man use an adding machine. I miss watching the milkman deliver in the a.m. I miss watches we had to wind daily. I miss having shoe salesman in shoe stores & dept. stores instead of just a cashier. I miss service stations for motor vehicles.

I worked as a snake and fire dancer for many years and had the chance to work in 67 countries. I miss travelling the most. To be paid to travel was the greatest scam ever.I have aged but I have remained the same,just as mad as ever! LOL

like they said in Grease, " a lot of our heroes are dying. " the older one gets the more this is true, for this is a fact of life. those people I had as heroes in my younger days are almost all gone, but there are still many heroes in my opinion. those who lay their life on the line every day they go to work to defend our freedoms and rights as well as to preserve our lives deserve a " tip of the hat " and our gratitude. such as but not limited to military personnel, police, firefighters, paramedics, doctors, nurses, etc. remember all gave some and some gave all for us.

I'm Married with two kids. If i knew then what i know now, i wouldn't have complained about having to clean up behind just myself. I would hvae slept in as kid, maybe i wouldn't be so tired now. I would have saved every penny i ever came across and maybe i wouldn't have so many bills today. But hey thats life. I guess when i get a little older i will be able to sleep in and relax and maybe even afford someone to clean up behind me! lol can't wait. Or i can just make my kids do it for me. Their to little now!

I miss Saturday morning cartoons and pancakes with my Dad (I'm getting kinda misty thinking about it). I'm 24 now, andI still get up early on the weekend sometimes and go to my parents house for breakfast. It's like being a kid again for a few hours.

No...I had a good childhood. I enjoyed school and college. It's too much fun being Grown and Sexy. I like to reminisce every once in awhile...but I wouldn't go back to being a kid for nothing.
