cremation..why take up space

2007-07-19 03:55:27 · answer #1 · answered by Lefty 7 · 1 0

If I wasn't really banged up, Yea definitely. Families and friends need to be able to put some real closure on their grief. Saying goodbye to someone I loved so much, in a closed casket, didn't let me really say goodbye. I wish I had opened it even though I know there was a good reason for it to be closed.
I don't want people looking at my dead body, seems creepy to me, but I also know that seeing that they are really gone, helps.
People may have been creeped out, but I kissed my grandma on the lips several times while saying good-bye. It helped, I couldn't feel her being there at all.

usually if there was no disfiguring in the death I've seen open casket. Sometimes with a sudden death, people have a tendency to need closure and with a closed casket its hard to achieve that.

I thought it was always open unless the body was um, ya know not in a viewable condition. I saw people take pics of the body at a funeral, that was creepy.

Neither. I am going to be cremated and there will be NO wake. If anyone truly needs to mourn my passing they can have a party.
