Let me give you a sincere answer Santosh.
The awakening is already there among the youth. Indian (subcontinent) youth was always a different mettle from the rest. I mean their upbringing is a lot different from many other culture.
20 years back the youth was most burdened by the problem of unemployment. There was no dearth of capability but possibilities were limited. Now they are endless and youth is fitting in many diverse kind of jobs. Globalisation and economic liberalisation has put up a host of opportunities before them and they are utilising it in the best manner.
I see this as a great awakening.

The first and more most thing is learn the rule of law. Never and ever cut across the line. If you want a driving license go to a driving a school learn driving a car systamatically, then take all the tests including road that are necessary for obtaining a driving licence. But who has got time. We depend upon brokers to get the license by paying couple of hundreds may be thousands now and get the license. That's it. Then drive on the road without knowing any basics of road. If you're lucky kill others or if not get killed. This type of cutting across the lines is every where. Driving license is only an example. This type of thing is been passed to generation after generation. The present generation is no exception. Who can change it? NOBODY.

A nation whose leaders cannot see any merit in giving a second term to a visionary like President Kalam is nowhere near witnessing the awakening of a generation. Whatever change the nation may witness with the present lot is for the worse. And I am saddened by this fact. God save India and the Indians.

India is a Country under induced slumber of false comfort. This can never be awakened by anybody of present generation! We need another Swami Vivekananda for the job. With great difficulty and sacrifice we drove the British from this land, but now we are slave driven by other foreigners in the name of liberalisation. In the rush for making money we are sacrificing all that was precious to us.
This is a Country of Individuals, only interested in making their dynastic grip over others for selfish ends. Nothing can change this Country my friend. Please look around you for the quality of present Leaders you will understand the unfortunate truth.

I hear it's coming. As the older generation gets older and dies off, the younger one is growing up and taking responsibility for societal growth....and surely, they will bring change because we did not grow up the same way our parents did. There are a lot more Indians of our generation who are abroad at a young age(20's), and surely some of what is learned and lived there will come back to India and change it. Also, there are folks coming back from foreign lands to settle in India, or just be on vacation, and they too, bring foreign ideas and ideals to India. Also, Indians do envy this somewhat, and once lawmakers relized there's money to be made modernizing, and opening themselves to commerce, it started changing already...and since India needs this commerce for their economy, I doubt that change will cease.

Education, health care, long-term economical investment, job programs. Making vital medicines available to all. National pride initiatives. Fighting poverty and homelessness in the cities and rural areas. Creating power and fresh water networks. Fair trade investments in the crops of regions where there are people who want to work but need the help to be able to sell their crops for a fair price. 1st World countries cancelling debt - not just in India, but in all 3rd world countries (we can afford it). Considerate tourism - by which I mean the creation of tourism that does not adversely disturb or uproot the local population, but benefits the local people. The abolishment of child labour.
