Well, it depends on what level you're talking about and what other things are going on. The arguments about land and sea breeze are silly, because they don't address whether the ocean is warmer in the night or day, instead they answer what the temperature is RELATIVE to the land. If there is no vertical mixing, the top layer will usually warm up on a sunny day (why wouldn't it?), but if the weather is cloudy or windy, it may cool down from the previous night. Also, both in water and soil the heating of the day takes time to propagate downwards, so at certain depths the temperature will be out of phase with the heating at the surface. The bottom line is that it can be either depending on the circumstances.

Water is warmer during the night since it is so massive, it lags behind the land, just like water between summer and winter does. Where it takes very little time for the land to change temperatures it takes much longer for the water to change, since the heat is dispersed a lot more than land.

No.In fact, it is warmer compared to the adjacent land during night. You might have experienced land-breeze and sea-breeze if you are in a coastal station.Sea-breeze blows from sea to land during afternoon or in the evening as land becomes warmer than sea during daytime.Land breeze blows from land to sea in the night as the sea is warmer than the adjacent land. This is a simple illustration to prove that sea is warmer during night.
In fact, the land gets heated rapidly during daytime and gets cooled rapidly after sunset whereas sea surface absorbs heat slowly in the day time and retains the heat till early morning of the next day.

No, the temp of the oceans changes at very slow rate over the seasons. It would take a super natural occurance to change it over night.
