A draft would end the war, pronto!
It would be amazing how quickly the cons would see that it's a war going nowhere.

I believe no. The troops currently serving in Iraq are there by choice. If there is a draft hundreds of thousands, if not millions, will dodge it or deferment it. And by all means I will not step foot in Iraq if drafted unless Georgie and Dickie are standing next to me in military fatigues ready to take a couple EPF's right along side me. And I'd imagine a lot of Americans feel this way.

How many people do you know who are willing to go get their brains blown out for nothing?

The draft is a great idea. It would finally get people off their behinds and out into the streets to raise holy hell, lead to the impeachment of Bush and the end of the war.

Even the war hawk neo-cons know that the implementation of draft would be the all out final straw for the American peoples toleration of this ill advised, ill fated war. It wwould be political suicide for the Repubs.

i assume you haven't any longer observed that the Pakistani military is attacking (and defeating) the Taliban and the Taliban has sent in added suicide bombers against Pakistan. So please clarify to me how the determination via the Pakistani government to attack the Taliban has something to do with President Obama as he does no longer administration the Pakistani government?
