just a favor, please don't answer me with: "it wouldn't matter now coz you've already named them". i just want to know if i did a good job in naming them based on other's opinions. thanks a lot.
My 3 boys' names and nicknames are:
Adriel Gregory - Adi
Gabriel Andrei - Gian
Grant Adrien - Grant
my first and middle names start with M and G.
my husband name starts with an A.

Dear C P,
That's exactly the reason why i asked this question. Coz i've been way too conceited with the fact (according to me) that i named my sons such gorgeous names. LOL. Just thought it's time to keep my feet off the ground. Sorry but insecurity is not in my vocabulary.
And to everyone else, thanks much for giving your most honest answers without sacrificing your politeness and maturity.

they are defintley different names. you won't have to worry about 10-20 kids turning around when you are calling for your own.

unvarnished truth?
I like their names a lot.
and I don't like the first 2 nicknames. I have taught and or been around preschoolers for years and the "really weird name thing" started about 10 years ago and is like an epidemic.
The worst is when they take a normal name and spell it in a strange way. My first impression of that is that it makes the parents look ignorant.
It won't matter much to the child except that it will wonder why no one can spell it right. And it's hard to remember the strange ones and the kids are a bit bothered by that.
Your children will be unique and precious because of their character, manners and accomplishments.
No best answer I suppose, but there it is.

I like the full names just fine : ) My favorite of the three is Grant! It has a lot of character. Adriel is a little too different for my taste. Adi is a little feminine, but he is probably still little, so it doesn't matter. I wouldn't call him Adi, when he is 10 or 11 or older, especially around his guy friends; he may get teased. Gabriel isn't bad either, but I would probably call him Gabe instead. I loooove all of the middle names! They flow really well with the first names! : )

I like Gabriel Andrei because meaning of Gabriel is a guardian angel and also named after our hero in the Philippines named Gabriela Silang and I don't know what is the meaning of Andrei.

Adriel and Gabriel sound too alike to me. Adriel, Andrei and Adrien are all quite similar and in that context; I don't like them.
Looks like you love names with G and A's in them, cool.

Are you that insecure that you would ask random people you don't even know their opinions of your kids names? As long as you like the names why do you care what I think? Try to grow up before your kids do.

I'm not a fan of any of those names.
The nicknames could be better: Greg the first, Gabe for the second...
