Met a person who hates his/her parents? Do you love your mom and dad? Co's I love mine so freakin' much, I rather die before they do.

Some people may have a reason to hate their parents. Abuse and neglect, perhaps? Like, I'll never forgive my father for what he did to my mother and the family when I was a child. But I had to learn to forgive him just before he died about 5 years ago.

I think we all hate our parents at one time or another. My Dad and I didnt speak for 17 years. We are now forming a relationship but it is iffy. And no my parents arent divorced so it made it hard to have a relationship with the rest of my family for 17 years because of him. So there are still a lot of hurt feelings. My husband hated his mom for 5 years they did not talk. They are working through things now. My stepsons hate their mother because for the last 7 years she would not let them see or talk to their father. Now that they are 18 they want nothing to do with their mother and hate her for making them loose time with their father.

I've met lots of people that say they hate their parents, but I know that they actually love them, so I never respond when they say it.

Yes, I do love my parents. It's just that sometimes they can be too controlling over my own free will and I do get angry at them sometimes.

you know what?? me too... i always tell my mom and dad i hope i die before they do, because i will not be able to handle that pain!!! my mom, dad, and sister are my best friends and i love them so much!!!!

Yes ...sadly i have friends who are not on speaking terms with their parents...
I absolutely adore mine...and although i can understand how they feel, i just reply with "you don't know how well you miss someone, until they are no longer there..."

i love my mom like that but we in world where parents and they kids cross path for the wronge reasons.

yeah i have...a good friend of mine hated his parents so much but he grew out of it now that he's older and sees that they only think for what's best for him... ;P

I loved my folks too and I too get upset when others, who folks are still here and they choose not to honor them.
