No blame to the Johnson Beharry, the latest recipient- after all it is his commanding officer who'd recommend them.
Even Beharry felt it was political.

But I assert this soldier is the more serving.

I'm placing the blame on the wooly pinko limp-wristed cosmopolitan scum running the UK.

Real Hero:

Why has only the Daily Mail (internet) picked this story up- has it been picked up by any others (I think I read it in the Times- but I read it in a hurry this morn)?

Again the point of this question is to highlight the ludicrousness of PC dogma.

Sorry, but ALL VC's have a political motive behind them. Now, I'm not doubting the guys bravery, but when you look at the history of the medal, you can just hear political cogs working in the background.

Look at Rourke's Drift where 11 we granted - It is no coincidance that that was on the back of one of the British's worst defeats.

Both of the men concerned have done someting that I wish I had the courage do do in the same circumstances but know I have not.

It is the same in all of life not just military. Many awards are won but few are awrded.

I do not like the implications of this question. Are you saying that Beharry VC did not do anything to justify his award because he is black? . Perhaps you recall a VC winner saying, " Yes I thoughly deserved it, I should have got two." No? Neither have I, so I suspect those words were put into his mouth and are an attempt to be modest which the PCs are using for their own sadly deficient puposes .

You're talking cr*p?? Shooting your gun at the enemy when you are not injured isn't deserving of a VC.

Read the citation for Johnson Beharry and you'll see that he's a far more worthy case. So badly wounded he needed brain surgery yet still tirelessly fought of enemy and saved numerous colleagues.

Hi there in my view every award is politically orientated ....

Both men are worthy receipt ants ...

However i know of numerous other serving solders who have commit ed similar acts and one whose actions were totally brave as he put his own life at risk to save a child who wandered onto a mine field and all he got was a pat on the back ...

98% of acts of bravery are not even publicised.... most serving personnel see it as in the line of duty etc and they do not want the attention ..
