Every woman feels pain differently, and every birth is different. I gave birth to two children, and I must say pain was worse with the second child. However, it is a pain well worth (not like a tooth ache that makes no sense), and it only lasts for a certain time. And the result is also well going through it: the baby! If I could relive something in my life I would definitively say: giving bith again!

It's difficult to express in words, so from my personal experience I have come up with a little 'practical' for you.
First of all you find someone with a pair of steel toe-capped boots. Lay on the floor and get them to tap you gently at the base of your spine with their boots on. They have to do this at intervals starting at about 30 minutes, but getting closer together all the time, and every time they have to kick you a little harder, culminating in full on booting of the lower spine. And just when you thought it was all coming to an end, which by the way can be anything from 2 hours to 2 days of relentless booting, they then have to kick you in the crutch a couple of times.
Congratulations, now you know what it feels like :o)
This is why men don't have babies!

Actually, It is all about mind set! Mind over matter! I have had four babies and I must say it is all how you go about it! If you are wimpy & whinny & feel sorry for yourself the pain will get the best of you! If you stay strong and determined , focused on the main objective( work hard to see your baby) your mind will overcome the pain! The mind is an amazing thing!

the women that say it's not that bad...it is because of the outcome.
Being a man, have you ever played rough...and it hurt like hell, but you win...kinda forget the pain right? or at least remember the broken bone...but the result was worth it..."kind of like that"

It varies from person to person but just think about the logisitcs of passing a watermelon out a small hole and that should give you some insight.

Not all labour felt the same...Some had it worse and some had it better. It all depends on the size of the baby...What matters most is how the women perceive it...
