To tell you the truth...many people are never fully satisfied with their appearence, and I think that is truly why the media does so well...because looks keep on changing, and people want to do anything that will better raise their self-esteem and external appearence. I--unfortunately--am one of those people, because as a teenager, the pressure to look a certain way really alters the way people view you as a person; just like how people "dress-to-impress" for an interview. (I hate trendy, designer things however). I believe that accepting the way they look is a struggle for people because they may not look like the model on the cover of a magazine.
So... to sum that all up, I have never LOVED the way that I look as a person, because my attitude, perspective, feelings and taste change, pretty much by day. But, I think that if you carry a positive attitude and take care of yourself (emotional and physical hygine), that it will be easier to accept your appearence.
Have a nice day! :-)

I can't remember exactly how old I was, but I was somewhere around 13 1/2 or 3/4. Unfortunately, as you have stated, most of my friends (who are also young teens) have yet to reach this stage.

About 40...I finally gave up the wish to look like a glamorous model and accept myself for what I am. The relief is enormous!

in the last 18 months actually, at 19 years old. I'm nearly 21 now, but I'm just coming to terms with the fact that I'm not fat, I'm not hideous and I don't look like a man - contrary to what people at school told me. My best friends say they envy certain aspects of my appearance and that helps me feel better, although I don't actually see what they have to be envious of, they're all beautiful themselves. I suppose having a lovely boyfriend has helped, as bad as that sounds. I don't need a man to validate me or anything, but it has helped build my confidence. Plus I'm at uni, so I can get away with wearing what I want to wear instead of what's 'in' like it was at school. I'm different to my friends, and I like that. I stand out from the crowd, but only to some people - and these are generally the people who I like to mix with.
It's about surrounding yourself with as much positive energy as you can. Don't listen to folk to knock you down, unless they're doing it in a constructive manner - we can always stand to improve ourselves.

I'm 13 and still don't except the way I look. It's kinda depressing. I don't think I will ever. With the pressures of our modern-day society to take so much effort in how we look. With the multi-million dollar indudtry of fashion.

I haven't.
But I'm only 16 so i have time.
I recently accepted my height though, because I've always been taller than the majority of girls my age [I'm about 5'9], and people would always make comments about it, which would make me uncomfortable. But I've come to like my height now, so i guess accepting my looks is a gradual process.

14. I started to mature at that age and see that there is a lot more to a person than the way they look.
Some accept it later, others earlier but I think it is a really hard thing to do.

I still haven't especially, and i don't think anyone ever does fully. Everyone will have those days when they look in the mirror and think "yuk". You just have to learn that those ugly, fat, greasy etc. days come and go - it's a fact of life, but they don't stick.

hard thing to do at any age.
Probably the best way is to practice in front of the mirror those mimics that you like the most and throw away those that you don't like. Time consuming and really is very hard. But you will begin to like yourself.
