If it`s someone you really admire there must be a reason for that admiration you wouldn`t admire someone who hated you I hope. You can`t always live on the safe side, open it and take a walk on the wild side. There may be much to be gained by doing so . Maybe they admire you right back and that`t their way of telling you so.

No, you said "no way" so there is no "slight chance". If there was a "slight chance" you should of said "you might not find something dangerous" implying that there might be a "slight chance".

I'd find it very suspicious that they wouldn't want me to open it for 24 hr. Unless it was my b/day the next day, I'd open it straight away just to make sure nothing was wrong.
