This is not an "either-or" situation. There is no reason why both cannot be resolved, other than the fact that we have a Congress that isn't concerned with the well-being of America.

Solving the immigration problem doesn't even have to cost money. Just resolve to deport any illegal convicted of a crime, and confiscate their domestic property. There's no additional cost, and there's no Constitutional issue with the forfeiture as they never had a right to own the property in the first place.

Solving Iraq is a little harder. It would take a better understanding of the situation there than most of them are capable of, and a level of trust in our armed forces that people who live by newspaper editorials and polls don't even believe exists.

One thing is certain, "solving" Iraq by simply withdrawing won't solve the problem, it will merely move the problem someplace else. It would be wise to consider where the problem will go before doing so.

Immigration.

It would be a lot easier to solve immigrant than it would be to solve the problems in Iraq (and no...withdrawing US forces isn't a solution and would only cause more problems).

Solve immigration first and show the country that Democrats and Republicans can work together towards a common goal. Then work on Iraq.

immigration....because there is always going to be someone who doesn't understand why we are fighting in Iraq and there is always going to be wars. there are problems outside of the U.S and Iraq that we are helping with but immigration is something that for sure effects everyone not that the war in Iraq doesn't but immigration is a way bigger problem because immigrates is what everyone in the US is except for the natives...which there are few of now anyway.

The Iraqi war poses imminent peril.

The immigration problems have existed since our country's inception and while yes, they need attention, they are not currently resulting in an immediate loss of life.

definitely Iraq, we aren't losing lives because of illegal immigration. We can afford to put illegal immigration on the back burner, but Iraq is essential.

Immigration. There is no "solving" Iraq. We need to continue to fight until the country is secure and can self-govern and the terrorist threat is eliminated in that country.

Neither.

The complete and total annihilation of the very resources which sustain life on this planet -- all for a dollar -- are the most pressing issue, because we are racing toward the point of no return.

And hindsight won't "fix" it.
