i had the same problem with a toy i wanted to get for my daughters birthday. i went in on the 19th, about 4.30 and they had sold out of that toy. When i asked the staff they told me they only had a small amount of that particular stock in.

Why? i ask myself. Why advertise a product in a big toy sale when there is only a tiny quantity of that item in the whole entire store.

i went into Kmart the week before only to have a similar problem. i found a TV and DVD player in one that i wanted to get for the faily room and was told that they had sold out and only got 5 in for the sale. when i asked about a raincheck they didnt do one and then i aked when they would have some more of the same product in at the normal price and they told me they only had it in for the sale and wouldnt be getting it back in the near future.

i am very dissapoined with the toysales this year. Very Dissapointed.

I hear you so frustrating. Yesterday I roamed around like an idiot trying to find a toy that none of the staff even knew about. It was crazy and Big W was just as bad with their toy sale the other week. I find great prices in between the mega toy sales anyway and no crowds to fight either. Just check their catalogues when they come out. Heaps of toys weren't on sale anyway.

That's why for Kmart and Target toy sales I am there when the door opens.

Did you ask them to ring around other targets in your area to hold one for you maybe? What about a rain check if that item was raincheckable LOL.

I know what you are saying though - they never have enough to go around.
