As anyhow we're going to die, then why such anxiety to work while living? Why don't you die, instead of living? Is it our basic human nature or some other mysterious principle that commands us to exist like this?

Before asking this question, you have to ask what is life? And that would take forever to explain.

We cannot have a purpose unless we are a created beings because purpose requires a plan and a plan requires a designer. Consider this quote:

“Unless you assume a God, the question of life’s purpose is meaningless.” –Bertrand Russell (noted 20th century philosopher, mathematician and atheist)

If we are created by God, then our desire to have purpose undoubtedly comes from Him and was undoubtedly put into our heads to point us to seek Him.

If we are just accidents of nature and there is no God, then our desire to have purpose is a mean trick played on us by evolution for it drives us to seek something that isn't there.

If we decide God might exist, then we ought to seek God rather than pretend we know our purpose.

If we decide to reject God, then we need to call upon psychological tricks (crutches) to deceive ourselves. These psychological tricks are:
1) Invent some purpose and pretend it's real, e.g. "Make the world a better place"
2) Keep very busy so you won't have time to think.
3) Focus on small bits of happiness we encounter, e.g. a trip to the beach

We owe it to our mothers to live, she didnt do the whole 9month thing so you can decide to die... right?

Either way, dying isnt one of the most well marketed things nor popular. We also need some way of whiling away time. also, nothing comes free... we need to eat, dress etc and most of these things require money, money is attained through work.... Either way Zim, we're programmed into this sort of thing from day one. A need to survive, and what counts as being ready for survival etc...

the purpose of life is to enjoy life.

the life that we live is pure Economics, we are not commanded by God to live in such a way, we just have to. there are Limited resources to fill unlimited wants. our purpose in life is to enjoy what resources we can get in our short existance.

It's for fulfillment. Like nature, it's a process: birth, growth, procreate, death, repeat.

We live to the fullest so we could one day die peacefully without regrets. =)

I do not believe in God or any other supreme being, so my beliefs in reference to a purpose in life are completely uninfluenced by outside entities.

I believe that our purpose is what we make it. I feel that my purpose is to satisfy myself first and foremost, and then moving on to satisfying other. I believe that my purpose in life is to do my best, while other people want their purpose to be having fun because life is short. Your purpose is your own. You have to pave your own path. In a sense, discovering your purpose is your purpose.

The reason why we were created is that we will praise God. There are so many wonderful things to experience, why would I want to die?

Our propose is to be HAPPY!
When you are happy then the whole how's and why's of life don't seem half so scary or important.
Life is life and it's here to be enjoyed.

Unfortunately I don´t have much time now...perhaps tomorrow.

....But, we want to experience our theory in practice.

We chose to be here!
As souls we progress with the physical experience and interaction with other souls incarnated in physical forms.

gotta rush
