People celebrate moon day all the time. I see them celebrating out of car windows, at frat parties, the subway. I believe that "mooning" is, and would be, a great way to celebrate that particular day. lol Or you could make Chinese moon cakes which they make to celebrate their new year, I think. But it might work for this particular celebration as well.

Grab a pair of binoculars and go outside and look at the moon. You will be amazed what you see,; craters, mountains flat plains. the moon is the most incredible and easiest to find object in the night sky
