Because they have to fiddle with their purses, which will still be inside their bag, and then they have to count it, put it into their purses, which then goes back in their bag. Oh! I forgot, first they have to work out how much money to withdraw, because they won't have pre-planned that. They will probably have to check their statement balance as well. It all takes time you know. Once the money gets into the purse it is likely to stay there for rather a long time.

check then double check,put in ammount then change mind, check, shall I have a statement,No,take money out and count, O! better have a statement.check, enter,wait for statement,check statement. put money in purse in ammount order, close purse put in bag, check to see if left anything and turn to walk away and smile to the other twenty people wating to use the cash machine.

because we have sense. we put money away in our purse, make sure no money accidently left over in the cash point, and put our purse back in our bag, all before we leave to make sure we're not mugged in the process.
i didn;t think common sense would be questioned unless ur a man or a very stupid woman! ha!

it doesnt charge to use a abbey national account even if you bank with another bank the only time you will be charged is if the machine is in side a shop etc
