The last time I cried myself to sleep was when my best friend died last year at the age of 32. I got home late that night from work and was told that she had a heart attack. She had two young girls ages 11 and 12.

I wanted so badly for my new crush to love me, and she did, with her whole heart, if only for one, perfect, summer afternoon, when we embraced and spun in circles under the shade of the trees in the park. If our ages weren't so different, we could have ruled the world with the power of our love. I tried to deny the dawning truth that a relationship wasn't meant to be. I cried for hours and listened to soft songs on the radio to get some sleep that night I first realized I would have to live without her love.

yes, that even your physical body is sleeping you can still feel the pain subconsciously, then suddenly you'll wake up because you are still sobbing deep inside..
