The first year of marriage is an adjustment (even if you have lived together), so you might want to get through that before you start trying. I got married last September and we're trying to decide when to start making a baby. Good luck, have a beautiful wedding, enjoy each other's company, and have fun combining gene pools.

I understand where you're coming from but you wanted advice. Here's my life: My hubby and I dated for 5 1/2 years before getting married and then waited 1 1/2 years before getting pregnant. Before pregnancy, we traveled, splurged on expensive dinners, jewelry, etc. I have now been married for 5 years, we have a 2 1/2 year old and I don't regret it. It is difficult to do serious traveling with a baby. There's so much you have to pack, pack-n-play, stroller, carseat, carrier, diapers, bouncers, and more, which would be hard to take on an airplane. We've only taken a few local vacations since she's been born - usually at a resort (condo setting) where we have everything we need like at home. I don't regret it because I traveled before I had her. When she's old enough to remember it, I want to travel again with her (older than just walking because you still need carseats and strollers, etc). So, if you couldn't guess, my advice is to wait on having kids until you've been married at least a year and have traveled a bit so you don't regret it, like me!

My Hubby and I sat down and made sure we were in a stable financial position first. We have been wanting a child for quite a while but felt it wasn't the right time. Now the time is right for both of us.

You and your fiance seem to have the same desire for a child you just now need to decide if its the right time. Also take into account that it may take up to a year to become pregnant.

Good Luck

well it takes normal healthy couples upwards of one year to get PG
if you start tracking your ovulation and period now then when you do decide to get pregnant you will have a better chance cause you will be in tune with your cycle

also remember there will never be a perfect time for a baby

Good luck and Baby Dust if you want it !!! :~)

hiya :)

you could always try but not officially try.. as in no protection and see if anything comes from it. that way you won't have the stress that comes from officially trying! lol :)

just let it happen, its more exciting when you let it happen than when you plan it.
