I can spot a lowland Scot or a highland Scot instantly by their facial bone structure. The lowland Scots look nothing like the English.

The Scots are a tribe that came from Ireland and colonised the West coast of "Scotland" about a 1000 years ago.
Many of the lowland families started to inhabit the northern borders because they were forced further north by the aristocracy who were French.
Modern Scottish Gaelic is infused with the Goedelic strain where as originally it would have sounded more like the Brythonic/Welsh tongue.
Don't start me on what is English or not.
Life is to short. Does anyone truly know all their ethnic roots?
