Arrange Marriage in my opinion don't give more pain and suffereing. On the other love marriages are little bit we can say risky in terms of family matters as if any one of you commit any mistake like argument, fight etc.. your parents will say no comments , sorry its your own affair. But if it will be a arrange marriage all will stand by you, and you will not suffer in your relationships.
More over I think in Indian way of living love marriages don't stay longer and when you need some one to make married life stable family don't come into role.

I guess one could approach this question in several ways. From the business stand point -marriage is a partnership- brokers do the legwork, research etc to move forward with a suitable "deal." Then there's the religious aspect....the"stars" say two people should be together, so they get together! Then there's the "Because I said so!!!" parental influence aspect. Tradition is a big part in it....the idea is that parents would only do whats best for their kid....so they rally to find someone who they feel would be compatible with their child, or at least be able to accept and tolerate their child..hehe! Finally, look at the majority of Indian couples who are our parents' ages and grandparents' ages....they stay married forever no matter how good or bad the relationship is, and that's what we see growing up...therefore we get the impression that maybe an arranged marriage wouldn't be so bad after all. Personally i say hell no! I refuse to be "traded" off to someone else for cash, cows, goats or anything else...lol, unless the price is right!!! ***wink-wink***

It is still the custom in many countries and usually is due to money. Sometimes both families profit from joining their children in marriage. Sometimes the father of the bride wants a good provider for his daughter or a man of apparent good standing in the community. Arranged marriages are not based on love and many times neither spouse has any respect for the other and this can lead to abuse. Sometimes there is an agreement between both that they may seek intimate relationships outside the marriage, but when that happens one or both of them are more likely to find love and that only leads to unhappiness and sometimes divorce is not an option.

For the following reasons (one or more than one);
1. Can't socialize.
2. Afraid to socialize.
3. Don't have capability to attract.
4. Don't want to attract but want to have sex ( this' not for girls ).
5. Parental or social obligations & nonavailability of proper courage to overcome them.
6. Idiots whose life are determined by others.
7. Fear of larger attrition rate ( divorces ) in love marriages.
However, all arranged marriage people are certainly not idiots. Most people are prey to society.

Marriage is a bondage between two hearts, minds, souls. Hence it doesn't matter whether it's an arranged one or not. The most crutial thing is the two people who are going to start their new life must know each other's sentiment, emotions and choices. May be in a country like India we believe that marriage is the decision taken in heaven...hence my personal belief is:" enjoy u'r life fullest, don't worry much about it, life will show it's own path"

Who says people believe in that. It is our individual perception of ourself and our interaction with the world at that point which would dictate heart. We believe in patterns and given memories. Our forefathers, our religion, our scriptures, our neighbour (except me) everyone taught us something which we believe in. We hardly lead our own life. We are living a rented life. Have self knowledge and go by your heart. It is your perceived notion that people go for arranged marriage. Even if the statement is true do not go by that. Experience it yourself whenever you form an opinion.

BECAUSE IT HAS AN AURA OF ROMANTIC MYSTIQUE AROUND. it stars on a ground of mutual respect, the feelings are more intense ,the couple more accomodating ( a love marriage carries a burden of expectations)and the parental wishes on both sides are fulfilled.

marraige means unification of two families , not just meeting of a man and a woman.Arranged marraige is culturally compatible.As the both families are involved , there are less chances of separation.Moreover acceptances are more.There is nothing wrong in it
