You should forget a totally painless delivery, but they can give you demerol until you can get you epidural done, (which I totally recommend), once you get that done, yea, Id have to say everythings pretty painless. After I had mine I went to sleep until the doctor came in to deliver my baby.

An epidural is going to get you as close to a painless delivery as possible. You can usually get that after 4 cm dilation. Though sometimes it has to be turned down so you can push more effectively. Even with the epidural, feelings of pressure can still get through. It will all be worth it when you hold your baby.

No chance! Epidural is the closest you'll get to one. You can try walking on a regular basis to help make the labor go faster, but you don't have many options. Even a c-section is somewhat painful in the recovery stages.

Pray for a miracle! "Painless" and "delivery" don't go together unless you're getting a pizza.
