There is never a bad time - besides many females like sex during period to help with the process - go for it but take towels.

No, it's not bad. As others have already said, it's a matter of personal preference. But, lay a towel down beneath you so there's less, or no, mess to clean up.

No. Blood carries STDs, including AIDS, so it should only be done if you do it with your boyfriend and you've taken the test. Some poeple like to do it, some don't. It's a private business. I do it with a tampon on during the first couple of nights. But some guys don't like it, so then I don't do it. To each their own,.
