If a book is in the public domain, then try Project Guttenberg or World Wide School.

As for "Gone with the Wind," I believe Margaret Mitchell's family keeps the copyright alive so it's not yet in the public domain.

Lots of websites, torrent sites (Yeah, they do stock otherthings beside ****) , Even Limewire and edonkey provide books. I got all of ANne McAffrey, Asimov, William Gibson, Heinlein on Limewire.

But all that is illegal.
But gutenberg.net is a good place to search for legal free ebooks ( Agatha Christy, PGwodehouse etc.). If its in public domain, They are bound to have it. Only thing is, they stock txt files or html versions only. You can convert it to .lit format if you want to later on.

I am sorry, but I can't be specific on a public forum. You could mail me. IF you can wait, I'll try to download it first, and then upload it to filesave or rapidshare from where you can get it. MIND YOU, I can't promise anything. Am too busy trying to get HP7. So many fakes in the net, its like needle in a haystack.

Seriously, the easiest way out is, Go 2 the library. Its easier on the eyes, too.

Try 'Project Gutenberg' --I am not sure whether the ones you want are there but there are many books available. You can try visiting this site.

That book is still under copyright so you are not going to find it posted for free online.
