Your question doesn't make any sense, which decision meant that the USC protected........WHAT??

Marbury v madison showed that the courts were an independent and vital portion of the checks and balances that protected the people from abuses by the govt.

dred scott didnt protect anyone, it said that blacks, free and slaves, were not citizens and thus had no rights.

the Missouri compromise and the compromise of 1850 were not USSC decisions. they were political compromises made in Congress and signed by the President.

The 13th amendment to the USC abolished slavery forever.

If you want a better answer, then you need to ask your questions better, again, i say ussc decisions protect ....what?
