i just got this baby RES and it has a basking light and a basking place and all of the other stuff that it needs i just don't know if the tank is big enough for it. the baby res is about 1.5" in length

I would get it a 10 gallon tank,so it can swim.You can also put some live plants in it,and a nice basking log or rock,It will need a good filter,too.This way,you can keep some feeder fish in there with it,and the plants for him to nibble,and you won't be forever changing the water,because the filter will help to keep it clean.Of course,as it grows,you will need to get a bigger tank for it.

heck no they need lot of room a baby res turtle needs a 20 gallon tank

it is big enough for a very short time, but you will need a larger tank very soon. A ten gallon will do it for about two years, but it will need something larger eventenally.
