I saw how Greg Oden played at the summer leauge....and i was so disappointed. The guy committed 19 fouls and 19 points in two games. he missed the rest of the game because of sore throat. Are the Blazers in trouble ????

Also, the Sonics in summer leage have an 0-5 record with Kevin Durant and Jeff Green playing together but Seatle doesnt have any good player besides Ray Allen and Rashard Lewis who are both gone...Is Seatle Even going to the Playoffs this Year????

Let's just not hope the Blazers did not pick another Sam Bowie or they'll suck again this year. As for Durant and Green give the guys a year, I think they won't get to the play-offs but they have built a very young talented team back there in Seattle they are a team of the future also look at how well Durant and Green played compared to Oden's 19 points 19 fouls in two games.

Again let's just hope these guys you mentioned do not go to waste since it would be bad for the league and the fans as well.

How come everyone now thinks Oden is a bust because he committed all these fouls in the summer league? Give the guy a chance. He'll definitely need some time to adjust and won't put up all-star numbers right away...but within a few years, he will be a force in this league...guaranteed.

The Sonics could very well be the worst team in the league this upcoming season. Durant and Green will not be able to replace the veteran production of Allen and Lewis...well, not yet at least. They're a very young team but with another high lottery pick next year, they could be really good in the future.

Uh . . . Seattle didn't make the playoffs last year and now their 2 best players are rookies. No they probably won't make the playoffs this year.

I wouldn't give up on Oden yet. Remember, he should only be a sophomore in college. I think the best player in the draft was Durant. People's argument for Oden was, "if he proves to live up to his potential and hype, then how can you pass on him?" They said the same thing the year Kwame Brown was picked, and now all the experts say it was stupid to pick him #1 overall when at the time they said it would be stupid not to.

I haven't given up hope on Oden. He definately has the raw talent to be great, but he also has a lot of flaws that can prevent him from getting there too.

Relax, both teams are very young and both teams will be fine. You put way too much stock in the Summer League. It isn't like the NBA game, its more like "streetball". Players are just rying to show some skills so they can make a team. Its more of a tryout for many players then it is a game. Oden had a medical emergency to get his tonsils removed so obviously that was bothering him. Seattle has alot of young players who are just trying to find their way. AND NO, I don't really expect either of these teams to go to the playoffs this year (The Blazers have a shot this year). They are young and rebuilding. Both will be powerhouses in 2-3 years...Hope this helps...

Oden will get better with time as he adjusts to the speed and athleticism of the NBA game. As a Sonics fan, I think they made the right move by rebuilding with a 3-4 year plan. There was no way they could've competed with SA, PHO, DAL and the rest of the west in the short term, even if they had kept Allen, Lewis and even added another piece. Hopefully they will get another top 5 pick next year and maybe even another lottery pick the following year just as the current powerhouses are beginning to decline.

Oden is a project, but should be an all-star by 3rd season. Durant can't carry an NBA team yet and Green is overrated. Seattle will have one of the worst records in the league this year. I'm glad somebody else sees that.
