Sorry Shadow strike, I can't pick between the 2, Love them both.
They are both very very very pretty in their own right.
Met kelly in person twice & she is a totally big time sweetheart, she always takes time out for her fans that are waiting even when she has to rush to somewhere. Carrie saw her upclose (almost met her) & she was very sweet to the person that was interviewing her & to few fans who was able to meet her. On tv they both give good interviews, Kelly she makes her interviews fun, Carrie she's sweet.
Singing wise/Live performances: They both are really good in their respective catagory & I have seen both live. Kelly gives 110% in all her shows for her fans & always tries to change it up a tiny in every show to make it diffrent, Carrie she brings country soul to her songs & give 110% as well.
My bf even likes both of them (a closet listener-lol), cause of me : )

Carrie Underwood would win all of these categories. Kelly Clarkson is borderline fugly and she is a screamer. Carrie has a beautiful face/body/voice and her songs are awesome. Ever notice how the only people who do really really well from American Idol are the ones who are in country music, even if they didn't win? Josh Gracin and Carrie Underwood are more successful than Ruben Studdard and Fantasia, I haven't really heard about them since the show, but I can't turn on a country radio without hearing Carrie's mellifluous voice.

Well I think they're both really pretty, and both great in their respective genres. I don't know about live performances as I've never seen either live. Carrie seems sweet but Kelly has an edge to her, that can be ok sometimes but it can also come off as being a bit cocky.
