Assuming this is a 1390 out of 2400 instead of 1600, I don't think you have a great shot at UCI, but perhaps Chapman....

Your SAT score is kind of low considering the fact that it is out for 2400. If you are going to be a senior this fall, you should retake the SAT. It's very important.

There isn't enough information provided to determine whether you have a chance to go to these schools.

You have a fairly high GPA, and that's good. However, we need to know what classes you are taking. There should be a mixture of honors and AP classes. Your schedule doesn't have to be full of difficult classes, but by the time you graduate, you should have at least a few honors/ap classes.

Your ranking is pretty high, but some colleges don't really look at ranking because... straight As with regular classes can get people 4.0 GPA while a person with Honors/AP classes... may have a 3.6 GPA. It would be unfair.

Well, you don't have to be outstanding to go to UCI. A lot, I mean A LOT, of the graduates from my school either go to UCI or UCR... So, you should not have to worry too much(?). Nevertheless, UCI is a good school.

Good luck. :D

1390 out of what? 1600? 2400? If it's out of 1600, a 1390 is a great score. You're a shoo in. If it's out of 2400, to be blunt, that's just crap.

Chapman has much lower standards than UCI, but even then, a 1390 out of 2400 might be too low for Chapman.

2270 (a 2250+, with all the different factors, is physically powerful sufficient to get you into any college) 3.8 3 5's and a million 4 on AP exams a surprisingly good college of California college. while you're searching for public faculties (and you maximum probable will bypass there by using fact they're greater value-effective) no SAT score will make up for a miles less-than-stellar GPA. community service would not quite count variety till what you probably did you have been truthfully captivated with. Doing 2 hundred hours volunteering on the medical institution is extremely everyday. while you're incredibly good at a activity or extracurricular activity which will help you immensely. My GPA grow to be surprisingly crappy by using fact I have been given lots of B+'s. in case you GPA is physically powerful, even in case your SAT score/standardized attempt rankings are decrease than widely used you will likely get into your precise state college.

I hope that SAT score is out of 1600. If it isn't, then you must study so hard your eyeballs feel like falling out and retake the SAT 1 immediately no matter what. However, your GPA is pretty high and you do have extracurricular activities. Getting accepted by a University isn't always about SAT scores, but it's important to get a good one. UC Irvine isn't too hard to get into and if your SAT is indeed out of 1600 then you should be guaranteed acceptance. Heck, you might even receive grants and scholarships.

my sister goes to uci and her hs gpa was about 3.7 or 3.8, she had an 1100 on her SAT (out of 1600) our hs doesn't rank, but i'd say she was prob. in the top 25%. she was in maybe 4 or 5 clubs...she wasn't the president or anything tho...so i'd say yeah, you can definately get into uci! go for it! (i don't know much about chapman, so i can't really say anything about that) but good luck!
