Entertainment Industry! The network giants are pushing idiotic shows and programs down our throats.Have you noticed that the sensible and good shows are aired during the deep of the night and the prime-time slot is bombarded with either Telenovelas or Game shows. The Filipino people is not given any choice to pick quality programs, but instead we are given lethal doses of these inutile shows. These programs are a Hashish to the mind, I always get annoyed whenever i see an Actor/Actress dance or sing while the crowd goes wild ( they call this in showbiz tongue as KILIG FACTOR). Aren't they supposed to be actors not singers/dancers. Then came Armageddon as WOWOWEE conquered the noontime. I've lost my interest with T.V! Maybe, together with the death of Brocka and Bernal was the demise of our cultural intellect.RIP

The 'bahala' attitude of most Filipinos. I wish Pinoys would change this unlaudable trait; it speaks of our immaturity and unaggressive behavior towards everything that is important in life. It is an attitude that aptly describes the lazy, the unproductive and the irresponsible. I wish I have a method I could quickly teach to people however, I am constantly faced with the truth that this attitude is inherent in most Filipinos; already part of our culture. It takes more time to get positive results and maybe not in my lifetime, but hopefully, in the next generations to come

ok, i'd like to see the real HOPE. Honest, Orderly, Peaceful Election.

every election you will hear mounting protests of cheating, vote buying, political candidates simply murdered, voters being intimidated, and disinfranchised, powerful election officers becoming powereless.

after the votes have all been counted, we do not know for sure if the proclaimed winning candidate the real choice of the majority of the people.

what i think can do is to join pressure groups to revise, and reengineer the whole electoral processes, conduct public forum to come up with the new, powerful, fast, accurate approach to election processes. this may include the use of high tech tools available with highly trained technical people. election time should not be monopolized by lawyers alone.

In terms of industrious creativity, what I would like to see is the constant thought of "imitation" to slow down, and really increase the thought of "innovation". As a Filipino, I am concerned of the fact that the country which contains a lot of hard working citizens
does not house the level of innovation creativity in which other countries are well known for. Japan is well known internationally for their constant innovation and creativity, such as robotics and advanced technological devices. South Korea has also showed their innovation to the world, even in their entertainment, which I find rapidly making it's appeal to not only to their neighbouring countries but also to the west. Even China has gained ambitions for innovation, being aware that "imitating" goods usually sold in the west is not the way to become an "innovative" nation.

I would like to see that same creative innovation being pushed in the Philippines. I want to see inventions presented to the world that is purely Filipino, just like the Japanese. I would like to see the creativity that many Filipinos possess to actually discover new innovative procedures in medicine and even perhaps help change medical research worldwide, like a lot of the research conducted by Western nations. I want to see the entertainment industry pushed it's boundries in very creative ways, and are known for it, like other neighbouring nations of the Pacific. I don't want to see the Philippines being labeled as a "hotspot for piracy" like what I have read in the papers, or even seeing the Philippines being a dependant on "copied" goods. I am sick as a Filipino to see "imitations" being produced, that I really REALLY want to see more "innovation" being pushed just like the other pacific nations.

Colonial Mentality.

There are still a lot of Filipinos out there who degrade themselves and their heritage in order to look better than everyone by posing as people from another country (usually in the west).

One thing that upsets me is Philippinos keep having more and more children even though they can't afford to provide for them. They don't practice proper birth control to avoid the over population of this country. It seems to me that they believe in having babies thinking that out of the bunch one or two of their children will get lucky in life like marry a foreigner so they will be able to help the entire family and get them out of poverty.
