I'm the oldest child of two. The first grandchild on my mother's side - not a good position to be in. Unless you actually become president, you're a disappointment to the whole family.
My hubby is an only child, with three step-brothers - two older, one younger.
And I have two kids. My daughter is ten years older than my son.
