Hillary is going to squash him with the heel of her shoe.

Got a link? Because most of the Iowa polls I can find have Sen. Clinton ahead of Edwards, and Obama in third place. Some have Edwards neck and neck but I can't find one placing Obama at the top:
Iowa - 2008 Presidential Polls:
Democratic Polls
American Research Group
6/28/2007
Hillary Clinton 32%
John Edwards 29%
Barack Obama 13%

Clinton: 22%
Edwards: 21%
Obama: 18%

EDIT: You are using a link that show numbers from December 2006. Look above, the first two links I gave you were from June of this year, the last taken just this July. Sorry, but things have changed since December, considerably. It pays to check the dates when you are looking at polls.

According to whom? Last independent numbers that I saw out of Iowa showed, it basically a three-way dead heat with Obama in third (but all three within the margin of error). Admittedly, those were the numbers from the middle of June.
Also, with the number of races on February 5th, I really do not expect it to matter who actually finishes first in any of the early contests. What will matter is who wins the states between February 5th and March 4th.
In reality, the polls taken right now are pretty immaterial. Dean was looking good at this time in 2003.

being from Iowa I can tell you that even thow he may be leading in what ever polls you are quoting,
That matters not,
I live here and the climate for the advanced African Americans is,,, how can i say this politely,,,, umm limited is the best way I can sum it up,
I'm black and have lived here most of my life in that time my home town has had a black mayor, and my state does have black members in the state house, but those members are from the Des Moines area, where I live,
the attitudes of the people in the smaller communities around my state is just catching up to the attitudes that large states have had for years,
I am in no way saying that Iowans are prejudice or racist, I am saying that we could use a better out look on diversity in leadership,
Plus we hear about who's doing well at what here on a daily basis,

I'm from Iowa originally, i just moved to illinois, right across the river from where I'm from. anyways, Obama has the lead because he has been here in Iowa many times and he's real. He doesn't just talk about politics, he talks about himself. I've met him a couple times and he seems like a great leader for the country!!

I think your poll results are a bit outdated. Nevertheless, I'm wondering if, after all is said and done, if Clinton will be brave enough to convince Obama to be her running mate. It won't hurt her chances. She can pretty much forget geographic balance. Her husband demonstrated this when he chose another southerner to be his VP. Such a pairing would, in one stroke, solidify the two largest blocks of Dem support. And, given the historic nature of such a pairing, any Republican slate will seem like old news.
It's Obama that may need convincing since becoming VP has been historically a thankless, non-job.
D'ya think?

I hope he wins the primary. I'd rather vote for him than Hillary. Hillary's fine and all, but I think America needs a fresh face in politics, and a good Democrat who won't continue Republican messes, and he fits the bill in both cases, whereas Hillary only qualifies in the latter.
