okay she is 8 days over due and she said she had tried sex laundry, castro oil, hiking what else can she do the military wont induce her till she is 2 weeks over due!

she has also tried spicy foods

It sounds like she is pregnant. But the best thing to do is to get a pregnancy test instead of guessing. You can purchase a pregnancy test in a drug store.

I am in New England and here with access to the best medical care in the world they induce at 41 weeks. It is very dangerous to the baby to wait any longer than that.

Sex, scrubbing a floor on hands and knees, salad with balsamic vinaigrette dressing followed by a spicy meal are things that will start labor if it can be done without medical inducing.

She needs to go to her OB and beg or insist that they induce her ASAP.

I don't mean to scare you but she needs someone on her side and that can be you. My friend had her baby at 6 days overdue and he was stillborn. Her placenta was degenerating and was scheduled for a c section the next day but went into labor on her own.

Good luck to your friend and make sure she does kick counts and goes to the hospital at any sign of normal or strange pain.

She shouldn't try to do anything to force it. 8 days is unusual, but it happens, and inducing labor has the potential for more harm than good when there is no need for it--which is why it's held off until 2 weeks. If she has concerns, have her talk to her doctor.

doctors won't induce either till you are atleast 2 weeks over due...i had to have labor induced with my son,,i always heard eat a whole watermelon and walk around the block lol

My friend used her breast pump and with 24 hrs she had her baby. obviously that works
