Hmm....I'm going to go with...YES, he is a bad person. Christians believe that the devil brings everything that's bad into our lives. So, if we lose an earring backing, it's the devil tyring to get us to stray from God. Like, he could give our mom a life-threatening illness, so that we would think it was God and smite him. There ya go.

No, the devil is the father of all lies and his goal is to steal, kill and destroy. He hates God and all Gods followers. He hates Gods laws (the laws that God gives us to protect us). The devil is out to destroy us. He does not want people to live, but to die. He deceives people in order to destroy them in the long run.
