Yeah, Bowling for Soup mentions that in their song 1985.
I'm old enough to remember when cable television first arrived. And when Mike Nesmith invented the concept for MTV with his video Elephant Parts.
I used to watch MTV back when it really was Music Television.
Good thing I'm only as old as I feel (I feel like I'm 12)... and not as old as I remember (that would make me feel 58).

WOW, THAT BRINGS back recommendations. THAT became before interior the DAY whilst MTV became somewhat COOL to visual demonstrate unit. the 1st actual VIDEO AIRED ON MTV became VIDEO KILLED THE RADIO celebrity via THE BUGGLES.

yup. mtv is a joke now. only good channel left for music is VH1 Classics. i would say MTV 2. but new music popular is so bad its not worth listening too
