I will stick up for Mike, being as I'm from Atlanta, because he technically hasn't been convicted of anything. They didn't find anything in the water bottle, it was never confirmed that he had a blunt in his hand in that picture (could have just as easily been a cigar), and there really isn't any hard evidence for the dog fighting. All that being said I think he does smoke a lot of weed and he probably has some hand in dog fighting, but I don't think he will be convicted and I am pretty sure he will play throughout the '07 season.

Look at Marcus, he threw away a zillion dollars when he stomped on that dude from Louisville.He had been in trouble before with fighting, drugs, and was on a short leash, yet he threw it all away. You cannot make a silk purse out of a sows ear. Micheal, Marcus and their cousin Aaron Brooks are all idiots. Aaron hasn't broken any laws but he is certainly stupid and puts himself above the team.

Good point, I think society holds athletes and celebrities accountable for more than they deserve. I agee these people have fans that look up to them and want to be just like them, but you have to think before these people were rich they were normal people like you and me. The things that they did back then when they were average they probably still do. Athletes and celebrities don't raise children, parents do. Everyone has their fair share of problems but the only difference is when someone famous makes a mistake it's national news. Celebrities have just as many problems as the average joe if not more. We need to stop looking for perfection out of celebrities and athletes. Unfortunately we live in a finger pointing society, it's always somebody elses fault. I know athletes and celebrities can be influencial to young fans, but if disipline and morals are installed in that child at a young age there more than likely to follow the right path.

I agree partly w/yousuf. He grew up in an environment where violence against people and animals was considered acceptable behavior. Just because the guy's on TV and the cover of Madden doesn't change the person he is or the experiences that shaped him growing up.
