Were they expensive, were their royalties overblown, stuff like that? Just tell me how well they worked for you.
Thanks in advance.

I posted something the other day about Authorhouse. NO NO NO ... Do NOT use them!!!!!!!! Before you send anything to anyone, you MUST check with Absolute Write Water Cooler's Bewares and Backgrounds Forum and Preditors and Editors sites. If there is any problem with the publisher, it will be listed there. A quick check of Preditors and Editors will give you the following info about Authorhouse ...

"AuthorHouse (formerly 1st Books): Not recommended. A vanity publisher.
5/17/06 - If you don't know by now, AuthorHouse lost a libel suit in court. It seems that the courts and jury decided that a publisher couldn't disavow itself of what it published. In other words, AuthorHouse should have vetted what it accepted before publishing. Now they owe several hundred thousand dollars and may have to pay even more in punitive damages."

Here is also a thread from Absolute Write Water Cooler with several complaints about this company ... THIRTEEN pages worth. You should know that once a publisher hits the proverbial "fan" at Absolute Write, it is not unusual for them to salt the forum with positive posts under phony names - so called "sock puppets". AuthorHouse has posted several there.

Those are the facts. I just saved you a whole lot of heartache and lost money. Do not send them anything. They are one of the baddies out there. Pax - C
