Depends on what type of car wash you are opening? Full Service or Do It Your Self or the Drive Thru kind??

I've heard that the guys in the "mobile" full-service detail business are VERY Successful. The kind that show up at parking decks and wash and detail all the business owners jags and bmw's are ultra rolling in it. Because every rich man want's it easy - no matter what it costs. If they get a connection they will stick with it. Get a GREAT looking business card and a simple flyer that you can use to advertise your prices and your availabililty and your territory. when you launch your business plan you need to decide where you will go and where you will NOT go. Narrow it down, then GO FOR IT!!! good luck

It depends if you want to open a dealership, or if you want to buy cars, fix them up and sell them for a profit. I would say both are very serious ventures and would take some serious commitment if you want to do either as a full-time business. From your question, it's not very clear exactly what kind of car business you mean, but keep in mind, cars are always depreciating, the value is always dropping. I would talk to other people who have been in the same line of work...........wow I just realized you meant car WASH. A very good business, but do it in a place that has good weather. Meaning that if it is always snowing, raining, etc, you will get less sales.

I don't see many cars going through the ones here unless they are free if you buy a tank of gas. Why do you think they would be profitable? The self washing ones you put coins in seem busy.

It can be a very good business. Just hire a bunch of low-paid mexicans, employ the right marketing strategy, and have the right car wash equipments.
