At my mothers funeral I held back my tears. When she died I felt an emptiness and shame that made me breakdown. It was because of something I said before I left the house that day. I will admit I was wrong and it was directed at myself and not her. So in my mind I turned things back to a few hours earlier that day and I always try to remember the good things from her last day. I will spend the next few years for-filling her wishes, I am sorry you made me cry...............My memories are always close to the surface and exposed for everyone to see and feel.

Yes I do. It's hard not to. I went to one where I barely knew the guy and I cried. Its worse when you are close to the person. You can't stop yourself from crying.

It just depends on who's funeral it is....
a close or semi-close friend or family member... yes.
A distant relative or someone I consider to be a stranger... probably not.

how could one not cry at the loss of a life....
it doesn't even matter if i know the person or not..
if i am in attendance, i would weep at the loss of the life, as well as the visible grief of those that are left behind.............
death, though inevitable, is tragic and a must........
we are born to sign a pact that we too must die.....

No I wait till I get home. I don't show feelings out in public plus I hate to see people cry. I think they are looking for attention and I don't cry in public
